WHAT WE ARE LEARNING: Kyle (aka Diva) challenged us to think about what percentage of our life we are living/giving to God. Kyle shared with us times in his life that he had lived 90% for himself and 10% for God.... etc... then shared what happened when he flipped and lived his life 100% for God- trusting God for the rest.
Luke 9:23-24 "If anyone would come after me, he must deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me. For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for me will save it."

WHAT WE ARE LEARNING: Are you ready? Cuz God has a plan for you!
This past month we talked about God truly having a plan for each one of us. Are we ready for His plan? Do we know that He has great things for us?
Jeremiah 29:11 For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.

11/8 Are we living how God planned and designed each one of us to?
Jaber challenged us to be bold and to live the life that God planned for each one of us.... just as David did....
"For when David had served God's purpose in his own generation, he fell asleep; he was buried with his fathers and his body decayed." Acts 13:36
Last week we talked about how loving others requires self sacrifice. Our challenge was to sacrifice something this week (with the support of our small group) as an act of love to God.....
1Therefore, I urge you, brothers, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God—this is your spirituala act of worship. Romans 12:1-2.
And now, as we gear up for our Buoy Baked Goods Silent Auction to raise funds to send our students to Deep Freeze Winter Retreat 2012 at Covenant Harbor.... some photos from last years Deep Freeze to inspire us all!

What else is ahead.....
Dec-4 Buoy
Dec 9-10 Christmas Celebration (white elephant) in Chicago
10/16 As" buoys" - we can know who we are- because of WHO we are anchored to....
"Then we will no longer be infants, tossed back and forth by the waves, and blown here and there by every wind of teaching and by the cunning and craftiness of men in their deceitful scheming.
Instead, speaking the truth in love, we will in all things grow up into Him who is the Head, that is Christ.
From Him the whole body, joined and held together by every supporting ligament, grows and builds itself up in love, as each part does its work." Ephesians 4:14-16
We praise God for a chance to "be the body" - that we can meet each Sunday night to grow together, challenge each other, pray together and live the lives HE has designed us to live.

We were "brick makers" at Covenant Harbor this past weekend as we helped camp get ready for summer. Our group of YGers, parents and some Harbor staff cut, dented, grooved, aged and painted bricks for this summer's camp theme stage castle!

Jack and Emma taking off their "safety masks" for a quick smile.

Jane, harbor staff and part of our yg staff, carrying "castle bricks" and her detailing tool.

Sam, pounding away, muscling shape into a brick.

Syd, demonstrating "Safety First".

5 brick builders... it looked somewhat like Santa's workshop in there.
We had a great time. The students got to use saws, paint and ended the evening with a cold boat ride, some mini golf, bball and just soaking up the Covenant Harbor Bible Camp atmosphere.
Last night was our final "Caribou Small Groups" of the school year.
