About Anchor
Anchor Covenant Church grew out of a series of early morning summer worship services at Covenant Harbor Bible Camp. In 2001, the group met regularly for Bible study and discussion about starting a church. In 2002, the group launched year-round Sunday worship, meeting at Woods School, with summer worship still held at the camp Boathouse. With the help of the Evangelical Covenant denomination, church planting pastor Ryan Eikenbary-Barber came in March 2003. In September 2003, the church moved to the YMCA in Lake Geneva. In June 2004, Anchor was accepted into the Evagelical Covenant Church as a fully-functioning church.
In the summer of 2009, sensing God's call to new ministry opportunities, Pastor Ryan submitted his resignation. The interim period during which the Anchor community searched for its next pastor was a time of challenge and growth. In August of 2010,Pastor Bruce Bruns joined the church to be its next lead pastor
Today Anchor Covenant Church is a lively, growing congregation. We meet for weekly worship at 5 p.m. Sundays at the First Congregational Church in Lake Geneva, with other programs held there during the week as well. Come and participate in the life of Anchor Covenant Church and make new memories with us.

The Evangelical Covenant Church is a denomination of more than six hundred churches in the United States and Canada. It was founded by Swedish immigrants in 1885 as a voluntary covenant of churches committed to working together to share the Good News of Jesus Christ. Covenant churches emphasize the Bible's witness to new life in Jesus Christ expressed in a day to day walk with the Lord.
